The Tree of Life!

Genesis 2:9
And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Revelation 2:7
"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God."

1. The Symbol of the Tree
Tree of Life VS Tree of Good and Evil

Genesis: Men can no longer eat from the tree of life.
Revelation: Men is able to eat from it.

2. The Selection of the Tree
Adam and Eve had the same problem as us.
Choosing the RIGHT Tree.

Life VS Knowledge

We are still choosing knowledge over life.
Knowledge is ... (1) good for food, (2) pleasant to the eyes, (3) able to make one wise, (4) be like God.

Knowledge deceives us.

Life VS Knowledge
Godly Wisdom - Worldly Wisdom (Prov 3:18)
A life for others - A life for self (Prov 11:30)
Godly Hope - Human Hope (Prov 13:12)
Positive Words - Negative Words (Prov 15:4)

3. Setting up of the Tree
Is it a once a year event?
"Once a year we have life?"

4. The Sacrifice of the Tree.
Between Genesis and Revelation...??
Blood of animals was a temporary way.
Grace.
Not enough.
Perfect sacrifice --> JESUS
He is the life.
The Lamb of God.

1 John 5:12
He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
